1993 :: early anime inspired art

My imaginatively-titled piece, JAPANCATS!!

This, I think, is one of the earliest pieces of art I still have, and dates back from 1993. The characters for once were not traced though were based on Ranma 1/2 characters. I had seen the game's instruction booklet artwork lovingly reproduced in a copy of Mean Machines magazine which inspired me to have a go at drawing my own. After a while I sort of got the hang of it though the bouffant hairstyles were problematic for a long time...
